WHY: Asian Americans at the Ballot Box provides a comprehensive look at Asian American participation in last year's gubernatorial election, including information on Cambodian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, South Asian, and Vietnamese American voters in Los Angeles County. Panelists will discuss the report's implications for voter mobilization efforts, the provision of assistance to voters in Asian languages, and national effort to reform our immigration system. Co-sponsored by Center for Asian Americans United for Self Empowerment (CAUSE), Filipino American Service Group, Inc (FASGI), Khmer Girls in Action (KGA), Korean American Coalition (KAC), Korean Resource Center (KRC), National Korean American Service and Education Consortium (NAKASEC), Organization of Chinese Americans of Greater Los Angeles (OCA-GLA), Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA), and South Asian Network (SAN).
