Background Info.:
1) Koreatown Health Day (Fri., 10/6)
The Korean Resource Center will hold a Health Day event to provide free screenings and advocacy for low-income, uninsured communities in Los Angeles County. The event will serve as a local resource for the vulnerable and underserved Korean American community members by providing linguistically and culturally appropriate health services and education workshops. In addition to medical, vision and dental consultations and referrals, partnering organizations will provide vital and age-appropriate screenings, such as mammograms, pap smears, basic blood tests (cholesterol, blood pressure and glucose), bone density, colon rectal cancer, hepatitis B, and acupuncture.

2) Joint Fundraiser Dinner (Fri. 10/19)
KRC and the National Korean American Services & Education Consortium will hold a joint annual fundraiser banquet on October 19th, at 6:30pm @ Omni Hotel. The Funds raised will be used for our social services, culture, community education, health access, immigrant and civil rights programs. There will be many areas that we would like to ask for your support such as program, publication, ushers, etc…
