You are invited to KRC's Unity Meeting

Dear KRC members,

In the last 26 years, we have been engaged in Korean American social movements to make changes for social justice. Also, under KRC’s roof, we have prepared various meetings and activities for children, teenagers, college students, parents, and elders.
On April 4, we are inviting all KRC participants, sponsors and Korean Americans to KRC’s “Unity Meeting.” Through this gathering, we are seeking to share opinions on how to find ways for community participation on important issues such as healthcare and immigration reform.

In addition, at the “Unity Meeting,” we will incorporate fun and cultural performances and also hear personal testimonies of fellow community members. Presentations on healthcare and immigration reform will also be shared in order to plan future activities. In the future, the “Unity Meeting” will be a place where everyone can share their opinion in order to come up with solutions to solve housing, environmental, food and other issues. We ask for your interest and participation.

KRC welcomes 2009 as the year where our community gathers strength, solidifies our roots & ties to one another, and mobilizes to continue the work towards winning comprehensive immigration reform, healthcare reform, and the DREAM Act. Through cultural performances, testimonies of community members who bring life to the issues, and activities to reflect & organize, this community meeting will be an opportunity to unite the Korean American community as we gear up to realize real social change.
