2019 Leaders of New School - Orange County

2018 Leaders of the New SchoolThe Korean Resource Center is a non-profit community organization empowering low-income immigrants, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and people of color communities in Southern California. Using a holistic approach, we integrate services, education, culture.

Leaders of the New School (LNS) gathers college-age youth across Orange County and focuses on developing them into effective leaders. LNS is a six month paid internship program that connects young students to various community organizations and civic engagement coordinators in order to develop and expand their understanding and skills in navigating local political spaces. The summer portion is an intensive eight week program which focuses on developing skills that will be utilized in the fall.

LNS summer portion will begin mid-June and will continue to meet at a set schedule three times a week and requires a minimum of 24 hours of commitment per week. LNS training will end early August and develop into a fall internship program where interns are expected to run and participate in local campaigns, which are flexible to their schedule.
